Welcome

Welcome to the project website for SineQN’s proposed hyperscale data centre on Bidder Street in Canning Town.

Following thorough engagement with Canning Town residents, we have now submitted a planning application for the data centre to Newham Council. We aim for it to be determined later this year.

The new data centre will add to the growth of the local economy and will lay the foundations for a new Digital Quarter to emerge in this part of Canning Town, while also improving the public realm along Bidder Street, and connecting public walkways along the Lower Lea Valley.

The application reference is  24/00088/FUL, and more detail can be found on the council website here.

Our planning application follows over a year of engagement with local residents, politicians and council officers to perfect the design of the data centre.

We’ve also been hard at work remediating the site to make it suitable for development, after being used as a metal recycling facility for many years.
